JET DECK
1960-1971
Jet Deck was a champion race horse and champion sire. He was purchased by trainer Wilbur Stuchal for J.B. Chambers of Colorado. In only a two- season racin g career, Jet started 31 times winning 22 firsts, four seconds and two thirds. In 1962 and 1963 he was Quarter Running 2 and 3 Year old colt, also won his Register of Merit racing, 5 Halter Points and was 1963 World Champion Quarter Running Horse.
Though he stood at sire for such a short time, his blood and spirit are still very present in some of our very best barrel and racehorses today.
Unfortunately, Jet was poisoned in the prime of his life at age 11. Before his untimely death in 1971, he had sired 580 horses, 215 of which were AAA, 22 AAT, and 386 were winners of $6,804,178.
